Manjusri

After considering for a long time to get a religious pendant, I finally bought them from Kechara. Its Manjusri.

[Mañjuśrī (Skt: मञ्जुश्री) is a bodhisattva associated with transcendent wisdom (Skt. prajñā) in Mahāyāna Buddhism. In Esoteric Buddhism he is also taken as a meditational deity.

Mañjuśrī is depicted as a male bodhisattva wielding a flaming sword in his right hand, representing the realization of transcendent wisdom which cuts down ignorance and duality. The scripture supported by the lotus held in his left hand is a Prajñāpāramitā sūtra, representing his attainment of ultimate realization from the blossoming of wisdom. Mañjuśrī is often depicted as riding on a blue lion, or sitting on the skin of a lion. This represents the use of wisdom to tame the mind, which is compared to riding or subduing a ferocious lion.

He is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas of Chinese Buddhism, the other three being: Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha, Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, and Bodhisattva Samantabhadra. In China, he is often paired with Bodhisattva Samantabhadra.

In Tibetan Buddhism Manjushri is sometimes depicted in a trinity with Avalokiteśvara (Tib. Chenrazig) and Vajrapāṇi (Tib. Channa Dorje).]

My 1st impression at Kechara is that the volunteers are very pushy on donations...
I was asked to go from booth to booth to get my answer for a questionnaire (orientation attempt) and I was abit reluctant at the beginning but with Kong Eu's guidance, why not.

To me, religious are all about teaching for good deeds... But human had market them is all sorts of ways to attract people, to make others to belief in them, to convince others that the teachings are great. Unintentionally, greed, pride had overtook the initial intention.

However, after Kong Eu had convinced me by not to think too much about others intention and focus on my on motives, without second thought, I'd decided to get the Manjusri pendant and believing the universe will take care on the remaining concerns.

In my thoughts, its either Manjusri or Medicine Buddha.

Medicine buddha: I know my doctors will take care of my health and why not let the people in the medical line to get his guidance to help more people.

Manjusri for me? Deep down of me, I love to learn, explore, analyst but lack of wisdom, focus, appreciation and application.

Praying for his guidance to make me a better person to serve the universe and benefits as many people as I can...
